Monologue from "Angel-City"
This is St.Orr doing a monologue from "Angel City", by Sam Shepard. The character in the play is a woman but I think the craving to be somebody, to be famous--the age-old star-struck obsession is timeless, universal and goes way beyond gender. I like the "Wave Light" effect as it make my "mask" vibrate with life and yet there is a death-mask like or a wormy quality to the way the my face was filmed in video. It seems to work so here it is...much better with no wig!
