I wrote this Cole-Porter-ish ditty as a response to Tricia's 2nd (Superstar) video which appeared on YouTube a few weeks ago. I can understand the heartbreak of being an artist and being paralyzed by and caught in a "gilded cage" though my cage was never gilded--only a dark-cave in the East Village. Still with all the suffering in the world, Tricia's drama does seem a bit trite; I have always been attracted to the allure that Park Avenue offers--though I know that it's an illusion and that bird songs, trees and the ocean is much more real and healing.
